What are the differences between the tickets?

The Bootcamp ticket entitles you to two days of hands-on and immersive educational training. You’ll be working directly in SketchUp almost all day, and we’ll have a farewell happy hour in the end to celebrate all your hard work. You can compare Bootcamp to school, you'll be in a small classroom with teachers and assistants available to help you stay on pace. You'll be able to ask questions and get more 1-on-1 attention.

The Basecamp ticket entitles you to three days of 3D Basecamp sessions and presentations (over 50 to choose from!). You can compare Basecamp to a more traditional conference. This part of the event will focus more on industry trends, thought-leadership, networking, and exploring new technology with sponsors. The good news is that we will still offer a limited amount of educational training classes during Basecamp (like SketchUp 101 and 201) but the classes will be bigger, the session times will be shorter, and the pace might be a little faster. This ticket also features the 3D Basecamp keynote, as well as our legendary 3D Basecamp party.

The All Access ticket entitles you to both Bootcamp and Basecamp - training + conference. This means you will get to attend two days of educational classes, Basecamp presentations from industry experts, plus our 3D Basecamp keynote and our rad 3D Basecamp party. For obvious reasons, this is our favorite ticket because you get 5 days of nothing but SketchUp!

Bootcamp takes place on Monday and Tuesday, September 26 - 27 from 8 am - 5 pm.

Basecamp is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, September 28 - 30 from 9 am - 5 pm.

All Access is - you guessed it! - the whole shebang: Monday, September 26 at 8 am -  Friday, September 30th at 5 pm.

Is there an educator or government discount?

Yes! Students (17+), teachers, and government employees qualify to get 30% off any ticket type.

Email [email protected] to claim your discount.

Will there be a virtual/hybrid offering at 3D Basecamp?

At this point in time, no. Our goal is to build and strengthen the SketchUp 3D community, so we would like to bring everyone together for an in-person event. As we all know, virtual events are great, but they are not the same as live, in-person events. As long as it is safe to do so, we will be hosting an in-person event in Vancouver. So make sure to attend to get all of the 3D Basecamp greatness!

What is the COVID Policy?

At this time only fully vaccinated individuals (no booster required) are allowed to enter Canada. To learn more about Canada's travel policy, please https://3dbasecamp.sketchup.com/travel. To read more about our COVID safety plan, please visit: https://3dbasecamp.sketchup.com/covid19

As we all know, COVID-19 is a fast-changing situation that we are closely monitoring and will continue to do so in the months leading up to the conference. The health and well-being of our attendees, employees, exhibitors, staff and communities remain our top priority. We will continue to adhere to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, the CDC and Canada's state and local authorities by adjusting our plans accordingly, if necessary.

As we get closer to the event, we will know more about what to expect and will keep everyone updated.

What should I bring to 3D Basecamp?

Here's a handy guide to help you get packed up! The 3D Basecamp essentials are a laptop that’s compatible with SketchUp, a charger for that laptop, a downloaded version of SketchUp, and a three-button mouse (the cheaper, the better!). Also, bring whatever you need to have fun in Vancouver.

Where should I stay in Vancouver?

We strongly encourage you to stay at one of our partner hotels. We've arranged discounted rates, so you can stay close to the action without breaking the bank. Please visit: https://3dbasecamp.sketchup.com/hotels to learn more about our hotel block. Every hotel is within walking distance to the convention center, so there is no need to rent a car. Plus you will be surrounded by other Basecampers, so you will get to network both in and outside of the conference walls.

Do you offer a group discount?

If you come as a group of 4+, you get an awesome discount of 30% off each ticket. To locate these tickets scroll down to the bottom of the ticket selection box in Eventbrite.

What's the refund policy?

How can I become a presenter at 3D Basecamp?

Ohh, thanks for your interest! Tell us a little more about what you're excited to share with the 3D Basecamp audience. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2022.

How many people are you expecting to attend?

Intimate and personal - that's the vibe you'll experience at 3D Basecamp 2022. While we plan to have around 1000+ people attend, classrooms will be kept small so that you'll get personal attention from our team. To accommodate all campers, we have three main conference hotels — the Fairmont Waterfront, the Pan Pacific, and the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront. These hotels will fill up fast, but don't worry we have four other partner hotels.

What do I need to get across the Canadian border?

Make sure you have an up-to-date passport, otherwise you won't be able to partake in the amazing 3D Basecamp experience. You may also need to fill out an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) or apply for a Visitor Visa. To learn more about what is required to cross the Canadian border, please visit: https://3dbasecamp.sketchup.com/travel

Are the presentations available in other languages?

The presentations and content will only be available in English. Keep an eye out for information on regional 3D Basecamps, which offer native language sessions.

Can I upgrade my ticket onsite?

Yes, you can upgrade on-site for an additional cost. For more questions, email [email protected]

I am a total beginner when it comes to SketchUp. Should I come to 3D Basecamp?

Absolutely! 3D Basecamp is the best place to learn SketchUp. Our beginner classes happen during our pre-conference event: Bootcamp. With a Bootcamp or All Access ticket, you'll have access to these two days of intensive SketchUp training.

Is my ticket transferable?

If you're unable to make it, you may transfer your registration to another person. To do this, please send an email to [email protected] with your request.

Is the party included in my ticket?

With the Basecamp and All Access tickets, the party is included! If you purchase a Bootcamp ticket, you will not have access to the SketchUp party. You may purchase additional party passes during check out for $125.

Is there financial assistance available?
