We’ll try to reply within a few days.

We're expecting that 3D Basecamp 2018 will be the biggest one yet, with over 1,000 attendees. The conference hotel, the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort, has space for most (but not all) attendees. We recommend booking early to secure your spot before we sell out!

It depends on what ticket you buy.

The two-day Training Intensive ticket costs $500, and includes two days of hands-on training workshops, as well as two breakfasts, two lunches, a farewell happy hour, and excellent swag.

The three-day Conference & Essential Training ticket costs $500, and includes three days of 3D Basecamp Sessions (a mix of both presentations and training workshops), a rad SketchUp party, three breakfasts, three lunches, and excellent swag.

The weeklong All Access ticket costs $800 and includes the whole gamut of 3D Basecamp 2018 (everything described above, including the most excellent Basecamp swag).

The two-day Training Intensive ticket entitles you to two days of our hands-on Bootcamp training track. You’ll be working directly in SketchUp almost all day, and we’ll have a farewell happy hour for you to celebrate at the end.

The three-day Conference & Essential Training ticket entitles you to three days of both 3D Basecamp sessions as well as the essential Bootcamp training. The Conference & Training ticket is less focused on industry-specific and advanced training, but you get more time to digest what you learn and socialize with your fellow Basecampers. This ticket also features the 3D Basecamp keynote, as well as our legendary 3D Basecamp party.

Offered for the first time in 2016, Bootcamp is the hands-on training track that runs throughout 3D Basecamp.

The first two days of the event are dedicated entirely to Bootcamp workshops. Purchase a two-day Bootcamp ticket to attend these. You’ll also be able to attend Bootcamp workshops with the Conference & Essential Training ticket, but you’ll get more specialized training during the two-day training beforehand.

If you are looking for beginner and intermediate SketchUp training, either ticket is a great choice, and there’s always the option to attend both! Lots of people choose to stay for the entire weeklong 3D Basecamp; that’s why we offer the All Access ticket.

Absolutely! Our beginner training classes happen in the Bootcamp learning track, and will be available for purchasers of both the Training Intensive and Conference & Essential Training tickets. The longer you stay at 3D Basecamp, the more you’ll be able to learn and practice!

If you register and later find out that you won't be able to make it, you can request a refund. The amount you'll receive depends on when you let us know that you need to cancel:

  • On or before July 24th, 2018, you'll receive a 100% refund.
  • July 25th to August 24th, 2018, you'll receive a 50% refund.
  • After August 24th, 2018, no refunds are available.

If you're unable to make it, you may transfer your registration to another person. To do this, please send an email to with your request.

The presentations and content will only be available in English. Keep an eye on our forum for information on regional 3D Basecamps, which offer native language sessions.

You’re welcome to bring anyone you like to Palm Springs, but we won’t have room at the actual conference for anyone besides registered Basecampers. There’s plenty to do in Palm Springs, so we recommend finding alternative activities for your clan while you’re at Basecamp.

The 3D Basecamp essentials are a laptop that’s compatible with SketchUp, a charger for that laptop, and a three-button mouse (the cheaper, the better!).

Also bring whatever you need to have fun in Palm Springs.
